In 1897, Concepción R. de McIntire, wife of Bartolo McIntire, sent this picture card to her sister-in-law, Mary McIntyre Leonard. The photo was taken in San Salvador on September 16, 1897. In addition to Concepción and her six children, the young lady (left and front) in the photo is believed to be the family's servant along with her daughters.

Using a date calculator, the following birth dates are
projected for each of the children listed above.
- Maria born - 24 July 1883 – This year is in keeping with the
age given on the birth record of her first child.
- Elena born – 13 Aug 1886 – This is in keeping with the
information Patricia Morales Tijerino has provided
- Francisca born – 20 Aug 1888 – Francisca/Frances gives her
age in the 1940 US Census as 52 which corresponds with the birth year of 1888.
- Bartolo born – 20 Aug 1890 – His birthday is given as 18
August 1890 on a 1927 passenger list, close enough.
- Manuel born – 15 Aug 1891 – Manuel lists his birth date as 15
August 1890 on his WWII registration card/but his birth date is listed as 15
August 1891 on his death certificate.
Given Bartolo’s year of birth, the 1891 year seems to be more accurate.
- Mercedes born – 24 Dec 1896 – Mercedes’ Social Security
Death record also lists her birth date as 24 December 1896.
